Pow Wow, Gourd Dance, and Exhibition Dances

This year, our event will not have an adult or golden years competition division but we welcome adult and youth dancers who would like to dress out and participate in demonstration dances, Inter-tribal and social dances.

Gourd Dance will be on Friday night March 31st from 4 pm to 9 pm at the Chisholm Trail Outdoor Museum. Dancers who sign up using this form will receive admission wristbands and free parking. These will be good for the entire three days. We want to feed our Gourd Dancers, so your advance registration will help us plan for dinner.

Our youth pow-wow includes young people up to age 25 if they are enrolled in college or other academic settings. Please use this form to sign-up. A Certificate of Community Service hours will be given to all youth dancers (even those who do not compete but participate in the pow-wow) who sign up by March 11th!

This is not a Pow Wow appropriate for hobbyist dancers but it is open to the public and we welcome audience participation in the Inter-tribal dances. We ask that dancers who are hobbyists, contact our Pow Wow committee at iiamericas.org@gmail.com before coming dressed in regalia as we want to create an atmosphere that supports our Native people. Thank you for letting us know you are coming.
