IIA Campout Indigenous Gathering December 2, 3rd and 4th, 2022
December 2, 2022 - December 4, 2022
Everyone is welcome to the IIA Indigenous Gathering campout. It’s our first time to bring together IIA volunteers with the Danza Women’s Group which recently started with Azucena Flores. This is another we hope relaxing time but it will be a campout very welcoming for beginners. Annette will walk everyone through how to put up a tent without getting your hair caught in the zipper, building a environmentally friendly female campfire, camping etiquette, campfire cooking and propane stove cooking, how to stay warm, how to stay cool, respecting all the wildlife, and more. This will be a family friendly campground. (No alcohol, drugs, firearms, environmentally aware and child conscious) Camp coordinator is Annette Anderson cell phone 972-814-0164 & email: iiamericas.org@gmail.com. IIA has tents, some sleeping bags and ground padding but if you want to learn how to save money she can send you handouts on makeshift sleeping bags, etc. etc.
Also you can message her on iiamericas facebook messenger app. She is the person who monitors it. DO NOT TRY to REACH her on her personal facebook page. She does not look at it often. More details below:
Everyone must register their car with the Lake Texoma Parking Pass website. It is 10$ per day per car. Do this before you arrive otherwise the internet is spotty and you have to drive to the park headquarters and navigate their weird machine (this means Annette couldn’t figure out how to use it!)
The link for this is https://www.premiumparking.com/P4619
