IIA Annual Choctaw Pow Wow Campout Lake Texoma
November 4 - November 6Free
Everyone is welcome to the IIA Annual Choctaw Pow Wow Campout. We started this event several years ago to just hang out, relax and save money and travel time to go to the Choctaw Pow Wow at the Casino. Our campsites are about 15-20 minutes from the Pow Wow venue. This will be a family friendly campground. (no alcohol, drugs, firearms, environmentally aware and child conscious) So please save money on a hotel room! Camp coordinator is Annette Anderson cell phone 972-814-0164 & email: email@example.com
Also you can message her on iiamericas facebook messenger app. She is the person who monitors it. DO NOT TRY to REACH her on her personal facebook page. She does not look at it often. More details below:
Everyone must register their car with the Lake Texoma Parking Pass website. It is 10$ per day per car. Do this before you arrive otherwise the internet is spotty and you have to drive to the park headquarters and navigate their weird machine (this means Annette couldn’t figure out how to use it!)

IIA has reserved 4 large campsite at Ben’s Campground at Lake Texoma State Park on the Oklahoma Side. C 8 tent area,
sites BC 560 BC 561, BC 562 BC 563- its a huge grove of land with nice trees for hammocks.
Attached are maps with details on directions to the camp. It is pretty easy to navigate.
Take 75 north/69 North
Cross Red River
Turn Left on Leavenworth Trail/Platter Road
Continue until you reach Hwy 70
Cross the Lake Texoma big bridge
Take first left into the park and at first fork in road turn right continue until you cross a one lane bridge (that lets you know you are going in the right direction)
Please RSVP you will be attending using this google doc or email Annette at firstname.lastname@example.org or text 972-814-0164 (be sure and identify yourself, she gets a ton of text messages) Let us know if you need help with equipment. Please don’t let that be the reason you don’t attend. Annette is paying for all the campsites so your only expense will be gas to get there, $10 per day for your car and plan your meals for Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner and Sunday breakfast and lunch. Be sure to pack your water, sodas and coffee. Annette will have dinner ready for those coming in on Friday night.
If you sign up on the google form Annette will send you more details and her famous winter camping helpful hints on the top 10 best sellers list for 1962.
