This year, our event will not have an adult or golden years competition division but we welcome adult and youth dancers who would like to dress out and participate in demonstration dances, Inter-tribal and especially our Memorial Dance Special each day. Our Memorial Special will be held at 2pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday. We want this to be an opportunity for families and friends to come together to remember those that have been lost during these difficult times. Our organization also lost many artists, volunteers and supporters… beautiful people that we want to remember. The reason for their loss does not matter, the drum will speak for us. This is our committees opportunity to also honor people who helped with this event over many years.
This is not a Pow Wow appropriate for hobbyist dancers but it is open to the public and we welcome audience participation in the Inter-tribal dances. We ask that dancers who are hobbyist, contact our Pow Wow committee at firstname.lastname@example.org before coming dressed in regalia as we want to create an atmosphere that supports our Native people coming back together again after these several years of isolation and stress. Thank you for letting us know you are coming. We want to help feed our Gourd Dancers if possible so it will help us plan for your needs.
